A Tennis Escape in the Catskills

There is something special about getting out of the city, picking up a racquet, and spending a weekend surrounded by tennis, nature, great food, and even better company. That is exactly what Rainbow Rackets found at Total Tennis in Saugerties, New York.
Our “gay tennis camp” weekend was more than drills and match play. It was a chance to rally on clay and hard courts, take on a new surface, sharpen our games, and enjoy the simple pleasure of spending a full weekend with fellow LGBTQ+ tennis players.
Between sessions, there was time to share meals, swap stories, laugh over close points, and cheer each other on. The relaxed Catskills setting made it easy to step away from city routines and focus on what makes tennis so special: movement, challenge, friendship, and community.
Whether players came to work on consistency, get more comfortable in doubles, or simply enjoy a tennis-filled getaway, Total Tennis provided the perfect backdrop. The photos below look back on our 2025 trip, with tired legs, big smiles, and new connections both on and off the court.
We are excited to return to Total Tennis in October 2026 for another Rainbow Rackets adventure. Come for the tennis, stay for the community, and make some memories with us.
