After a successful career in senior roles with Asia-focused organizations, David Reid has now founded Rainbow Rackets, a nonprofit organization where he serves as President. Through Rainbow Rackets, he seeks to foster community and inclusivity by providing LGBTQ+ adult beginners with regular tennis training, clinics, and social gatherings. Previously, Reid was the Director of Corporate Engagement and a Senior Team member at the China Institute, as well as Director of Foundation and Corporate Philanthropy at The Asia Foundation. Over 16 years with the Asia Society, he held multiple leadership roles, including Executive Director for Corporate Programs and Talent Initiatives, where he pioneered the Society’s Global Talent and Diversity Initiative—a key resource for Fortune 500 senior leaders on pressing human capital issues. Additionally, he established the Diversity Leadership Forum, a training platform for rising Asian American leaders, and the Asian Pacific American Corporate Survey, which ranks U.S. companies in their support for Asian American professionals.

Reid currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) and on the leadership council of Pace University’s Alumni Association. He is also the founding chair of Pace’s Pride Alumni Network. He holds an MBA from Pace University and a BA from Colorado College.  For fun, he competes in Gay Lesbian Tennis Association (GLTA) Tournaments around the world and is particularly pleased with being the Dublin GLTA 2025 D Doubles Champion.
